Company & Principal Broker:
The Company – Cascade Business Brokers was
formed in 2002 as an assumed business name of Meta Mergers &
Acquisitions, LLC, a long established merger and acquisition
firm in Portland, Oregon. Meta Mergers specialized in the
sale of larger companies. One of the principal owners of
Meta Mergers & Acquisitions had retired, and the remaining
owner sought to add an associate to specialize in the
marketing and sale of small to mid-market companies. That
associate was Roland Casad (see below).
At the end of the year, however, the remaining principal
owner of Meta Mergers & Acquisitions received an offer to
serve as the Chief Financial Officer for a large Oregon
aviation company, and decided to take the job. Subsequently,
Mr. Casad converted Cascade Business Brokers into his own
company (LLC), and continues to share office space in
Portland with another company that also specializes in the
valuation and marketing of larger companies.
Principal Business Broker – Roland Casad is the owner
and principal broker for Cascade Business Brokers, LLC.
Before forming Cascade Business Brokers in 2002, he was an
associate business broker for four years with the Business
Sales Division of Coldwell Banker Commercial in the state
capital, Salem. His work focuses on businesses located in
Portland, but also extends to key urban areas down the I-5
corridor.
